James "Jim" Allen

James "Jim" D. Allen, 85, passed away Sunday, March 13, 2022. He was preceded in death by his first and second wives, Muriel and Janelle; parents, Maurice and Doris Allen; and siblings, Ronnie and Maurice. Survivors include his wife, Shirley Allen; children, Sonya (Allen), Barbara, and Jeff (Jennifer); step-children, Krista, Barbara, Rick, Ritchie, and Gail; sister, Verna; grandchildren, Keith, Brian, Devon, Justin, Carmen, and Veronica; and many great-grandchildren. Jim was an Army Veteran, serving from 1957-1961; a truck driver for ten years; and was employed by Boeing Wichita for over 30 years, retiring in 1999. He liked toys and was a lover of auctions and his pets which included his horse, April, and dogs, Lily and Scooter. Visitation with family and friends will be held on Monday, March 21, from 6-8 pm, at Broadway Mortuary, 1147 S. Broadway. Memorial contributions can be made to Phoenix Hospice.
