Javan Shively

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved Javan, who left this earth to be with his Savior and brother, Brett Jr., on November 1st, 2025. He was and is a cherished son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend to those of us who are left. He is deeply missed and will always be remembered.

Javan Tiernan Shively was born on October 14th, 2000, in Wichita, Kansas. He is survived by his father Brett William Shively and mother Yvonne Marie Hudson; his sister and brother-in-law, Eden Marie and James Taylor Book; his loving grandparents, Bill and Glenda Shively and Steven and Karen Hudson; his aunt and uncles, Eric and Jenna Hudson, Elery Shively; and many, many more family, friends and loved ones.

Javan was precious to those who knew him. He was the first one to smile and bring joy in difficult times. He never met a stranger and loved with his whole heart. His genuine concern for others, those he knew and those he didn’t, was a treasure to all who knew and loved him.

The loss is great but our hope in the knowledge of seeing him again along with loved ones who have gone before is so much greater.
