Jay Ewy

Jay Christopher Ewy, 55, passed away on Sunday, April 12, 2026. Jay was born on September 25, 1970 in Newton, Kansas to parents, Jerry and Cydnie Ewy. Jay is preceded in death by his father. He is survived by his mother and step-father, Cyndie Ewy and JC Bell; children, Easton and Paige Ewy; sister, Jennifer Ewy; niece, Piper Ewy, and many extended family members and friends. Jay graduated from Wichita State University and loved supporting WSU athletics, especially basketball. He was an active member of the community and the owner of Docuplex. Jay was especially fond of dogs and raised hunting dogs throughout his youth. He spent his free time hunting, fishing, and golfing. He loved to be surrounded by friends and family. Visitation with family will be from 6:00-8:00pm, Wednesday, April 22, at the Cozine Life Events Center. Funeral service celebrating Jay’s life will be at 10:30am, Thursday, April 23, also at the Cozine Life Events Center. Reception will immediately follow the service. Burial will be at 2:30pm, Thursday, April 23, at Halstead Cemetery in Halstead, Kansas. Services by Cozine Memorial Group – Cozine Life Events Center.
