Jerry was born to the late Frank and Eileen (Lyons) Barclay. Shortly after high school graduation, Jerry joined the U.S. Air Force. While stationed in Wichita, Kansas, he met and married Agness (Sandy) Sanders in 1973, who had three children.

Jerry is survived by his children: Jeff Barclay, Chris Barclay, Ted Wallis, and Annette (Jim) Knox. He is also survived by his sisters, Rhonda Barclay and Rita Self, sister-in-law Ingrid Barclay, as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and numerous cousins.

Jerry was a member of the Dana Baptist Church for many years. He was a private person devoted to the love and pride of his family, extended family, and friends. Everyone knew his sense of humor and love of jokes. He will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.

Jerry retired at the rank of Master Sergeant after a 21-year career in the Air Force, where he was stationed throughout the United States and overseas, including Vietnam. He developed a love for local and regional foods and enjoyed cooking for family and friends.
