Jo-Ann Reesman

Jo-Ann Reesman, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully in her sleep at her home on September 29, 2026. Born on May 20, 1952, in Providence, Rhode Island, Jo-Ann was known for her unwavering kindness, acceptance, and unconditional love.

Jo-Ann was the cherished daughter of Stanley and Alice Michen and was predeceased by her parents, her brother Stan, sister Alice, her beloved husband Greg, and her son David. She is survived by her loving children Matt and Jolene, her grandchildren Alex, Bryce, Amber, Mason, and Morgan, and her great-grandchildren Blake, Kyler, Aiden, Brooklyn, and Hailey, all of whom were the light of her life.

In 1971, Jo-Ann joined the Air Force directly after high school, where she met the love of her life, Greg Reesman. They married on April 8, 1972, and remained devoted partners for 44 years until Greg's passing in June 2016. Their journey together took them to many places, fulfilling Jo-Ann's passion for travel and exploration.

Although she held several part-time jobs over the years, Jo-Ann's greatest joy was being a dedicated stay-at-home mom and wife, nurturing her family with love and care. She had a unique ability to accept people for who they were, never passing judgment, and always offering a listening ear and warm smile.

Jo-Ann had a zest for life and a wide array of interests. Her love for bowling saw her as a cherished member of the Tuesday morning Coffee League at Derby Bowl for over 15 years. An avid fan of true crime stories and horror movies, she found joy in the simple pleasures of life, including playing bingo and visiting the zoo. Above all, spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren was her greatest delight, and her family meant everything to her.

In memory of Jo-Ann, the family invites those wishing to honor her life to make a donation to a charity of their choice. Her legacy of love, acceptance, and kindness will live on in the hearts of all who were privileged to know her.
