Phelps, Joan Beverly, 70, former teacher at Joyful Noise Academy, passed away November 24, 2017. Visitation with family 6:00-8:00 pm, Thursday, at Broadway Mortuary. Funeral service at 10:30 am, Friday, at Riverlawn Christian Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Emma Shaw and brother, Herb Creech. Survivors include her husband, Don Phelps; son, Jerry Phelps; daughter, Tara (Steve) Shawn; granddaughter, Emma Shawn; sister-in-law, Brenda (Drew) Hanson, all of Wichita and brother, Dan (May) Creech of Salina, KS.
