Joanna May "Jody" (Wood) Whitaker, 54, Identity Group Employee and Jerry's Bar and Grill most loved bartender "Momma Jo", passed away Monday, November 8, 2021. Celebration of Life Service 10:00am, Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at Cross Road Church. Joanna was preceded in death by her father, Jimmie Wood; son, Brandon Bentley; brother-in-laws, Kenny Knoblauch and Don Kerschen and her father-in-law, Harvey Whitaker. She is survived by her husband, Douglas S. Whitaker; mother, Freda Wood; sons, Zachary and Joshua Whitaker; sisters, Sherry (Bruce) Hansberry and Dianna Knoblauch; sisters-in-law, Joni (Jim) Gearhart and Dana Kerschen; mother-in-law, Beverly Whitaker; nieces and nephews, Jerrod (Aidan) Gearhart, Jessica (Aric) St. Vrain, Joel Gearhart, Matthew (Jodie) Kerschen, Chris (Claire) Kerschen, Randall Young, Ryan (Marcie) Young, Scott Hansberry, Sarah (John) Hahnfeld, Sean Hansberry, Marina Hansberry,  great-nieces and nephews; and her lifelong friend and God-mother of her children, Robyn Campbell and extended family Frank (Allison) Molnar.  Memorials to KS Suicide Prevention HQ.
