John Beckstrom

John (Rock) O. Beckstrom was born August 16, 1941 and passed from this life on May 3, 2023. Rock was a loving husband to Connita (Connie) Beckstrom for almost 63 years. Rock and Connie married young and in Rock's words "had a lot of fun together over the years." He found it hard to tell Connie no because he wanted her to have everything she ever wanted. Above all else, Rock was a family man. He was very proud of his four children: John, Don, Shae Lynn, and Marissa (Souders) and dearly loved his six grandchildren and one bonus grand-daughter: Lauren (Dellafortuna), Kyle, Kaylee (Beckstrom-Wigdahl), Ele (McManamey), Keegan, Zachary (Brake), Justin (Brake). He had a special relationship with his brother Carlton (Swede) Beckstrom and always felt a protective love for him. Everyone who met Rock found him to be a kind-hearted, honest man who made people feel special just by listening and appreciating them for who they were. He is survived by all of his children and grandchildren, as well as by two daughters-in-law, Leslie and Lori, one son-in-law, Cody, and four great-grandchildren, Deshawn, Sophia, Kleo, and Clementine. Rock was preceded in death by his parents John N. and Wilma M. Beckstrom. He will be missed by all who knew him.
