John LaFever

LaFever, John M. , 86, joined his Heavenly Father on January 1, 2017. Visitation with family is 6:00-8:00 pm, Friday, January 6 ^th , at Broadway Mortuary. Funeral service is 1:00pm, Saturday, January 7 ^th , at Country Acres Baptist Church. John worked a number of years with Western Lithograph and Pioneer Balloon. He was very active in church, Bible studies, Young Life, Crown Ministry, and he loved playing golf. He was a dear friend and encourager to many people. John was preceded in death by his first wife of 44 years, Jan Johnson LaFever; daughter Renee LaFever; parents Robert U. and Lula Maud LaFever; brothers Ralph and Robert LaFever and sisters Nita McCune and Maxine Elliott. He is survived by his wife of 17 years, Alene Oneale LaFever; sons Brad LaFever and Kent (Paula) LaFever; step-son Evin (Tracy) Oneale; step-daughters Heather (Jason) Albertson and Erin (John) Wright; grandchildren Shelby (Tyler) and Cory LaFever and step-grandchildren Maureen and Emery Oneale, Ben, Daniel, Josh and David Albertson, Allie (Joe) Wylie and Sarah Ensminger; and two step-great-grandchildren.
