Joseph Perry Davidson, fondly known as Joe or Joey, passed away on December 26, 2025, in Wichita, Kansas. He was born on April 12, 1979, in St. Louis, Missouri, and from that moment, he brought an incredible love for life into the world, which he generously shared with all who knew him.
Joe dedicated 16 years of his professional life to serving as the operations manager at Jimmie's Family Diner, where he became a beloved figure within the community. It was not just his strong work ethic that endeared him to many, but his ability to make others feel special. Relationships were paramount to Joe; he cherished every moment spent with family and friends, making them feel valued and loved. His warm hugs and radiant smile could light up any room, leaving lasting impressions on those fortunate enough to encounter them.
An alumnus of Kapaun Mt. Carmel, Joe graduated with the class of 1997, and his spirit for connection extended far beyond his professional achievements. Engaging in hobbies like playing golf, riding dirt bikes, and tinkering with cars, he embraced life to its fullest. His generous heart shone through as he volunteered for causes close to his heart, including Hotcakes for Hopecare, and Automobilia and Jeeples Toys for Tots. Remarkably, Joe even grew his hair for most of his life into a ponytail, a token of his commitment to donating it to Locks of Love, highlighting his selfless nature.
Family gatherings held a special place in Joe's heart, particularly the cherished moments spent during Christmas Eve with his cousins and on Christmas Day with his immediate family. The warmth of these gatherings created cherished memories that will live on in the hearts of those he left behind.
Joe is survived by his devoted parents, Jack Davidson and Linda Blasi Davidson; his sister, Carrie Garon, and brother-in-law, David Garon; as well as his nephew, Jacob Garon, and niece, Hailey Garon. Jacob and Hailey brought joy to Joe's life, and he took great pride in being their uncle.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Austin and Connie Davidson, and Clarence and Bertha Blasi.
As we hold onto the vibrant memories of Joey, we remember a life lived fully and generously. He will forever be cherished in our hearts, and his legacy of love, laughter, and commitment to those around him will continue to inspire us all.
