Juan Luis Martinez

Juan Luis Martinez passed away on January 20th, 2026 in Wichita, Kansas. He was husband to Melissa.

Juan was born in Wichita, Kansas, on October 6, 1980. He was the son of Jose Luis and Angela Martinez. Juan graduated from Cowley County Community College and served in the US Navy for 8 years with an Honorable Discharge followed by continued education. He was employed by Protect LLC. While working at Protect LLC, Juan was a level 1 NDT technician in the mechanical integrity department.

Juan will be remembered for his dedication to growth, loving demeanor, infectious laugh, and sense of humor.

Juan is survived by his wife Melissa and children in the home, Yaretzi and Leticia; Angelica, Miguel, Gabriel, Danielle, and bonus child, Jack; 3 grandchildren; his parents, Jose Luis and Angela; siblings, Antonio, David, and Anita; and respective spouses and children; and his maternal grandparents, Ron and Linda Hurley; and paternal grandfather, Sabas Martinez. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Celia Lavonne Briley and paternal grandmother, Paula Lomas Martinez.

The funeral services will be held on January 29th , 2026, at 10:30 am, Lluvias De Gracia, located at 2009 W. May St., Wichita, Kansas 67213. A viewing will take place on January 28, at Broadway Mortuary, 1147 S. Broadway, from 5 - 7 pm.
