Kristi Dody

Kristi Diane Dody was born on July 30th, 1960 in Wichita, Kansas to Gail and Sandra Dody. Kristi was born with special needs but lived an amazing life because of her wonderful parents. She was a competitor in the Special Olympics for many years and was active in sports including  basketball, swimming, roller skating and dancing. Kristi attended Starkey Developmental Center and worked there for 45 years. She especially enjoyed going to work every day and being with her friends. She lived in her house on Tracy Street with her dog Frankie on the weekdays and spent every weekend with Mom and Dad. Kristi was a huge Kansas City Chiefs fan and loved watching all of their games. Kristi's hobbies were working on puzzles, word searches, coloring art and playing games on her iPad. She enjoyed birthdays and holidays and spending time with family. More than anything she loved being with Mom on the weekends. Although Kristi led a simple life she was a very kind, loving and soft spoken person. She was the best sister her brothers could have ever asked for. Kristi passed away on September 24th, 2026 from cancer. Kristi touched many lives and was loved very much. She was an inspiration to all of us and will live in our memories and hearts forever. 

Kristi survived her dad, Gail Dody (10/5/2023) and is survived by her Mom, Sandra Dody (Wichita, Ks) and her two brothers Brad Dody and wife Missy Dody (Milton, Ks) and Brian Dody (Wichita, Ks) as well as 4 nieces and nephews and 7 great nieces and nephews.

Visitation 6-8:00pm, Friday, October 2, 2026, Funeral Service 10:00am, Saturday, October 3, 2026 both at the Cozine Life Events Center. Graveside Service will be 2:00 Saturday, October 3, 2026 at the Grant Township Cemetery, Marion Co., Kansas.
