Kristine Ancona-Baker

Kristine Marie Ancona-Baker, 75, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 19, 2026, surrounded by her loving daughters.

Kristine was born on May 2, 1950, in Omaha, Nebraska, to Joseph and Darlene Ancona. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Terry Baker; and her sister, JoAnn “Jody” Ancona.

She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Carrie and Chris Tarzon, and Nicole and Allan Dunne; her siblings, Michael Ancona and Cheryl Skinner; and her cherished grandchildren, Christopher Tarzon, Lily Tarzon, Emma Tarzon, Charles Dunne, and Darcy Dunne.

Kristine attended the University of Nebraska at Omaha, where she was a proud member of the Chi Omega sorority. She had a generous spirit and found great joy in giving back to her community. She volunteered with the Kansas City Hospice House, the Kansas City Rose Society, Friends of the Kansas City Zoo, and many other organizations close to her heart.

Kristine’s family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice in Wichita, Kansas, for the compassionate care and comfort they provided during her final days.

Services celebrating Kristine’s life will be held at a later date, with details to be announced.
