Leah Lucille Carson, 92, passed away Tuesday, March 4, 2025. Leah is preceded in death by her husband, Merritt Carson; and parents, Henry and Louise (Stussy) Preuss. She is survived by daughters, Kathy (Teresa) Carson, Karen (Roger) Cook; son, Bryan (Lydia Darlene) Carson; grandchildren Matt (Natalie) Shofner, Michael (Tammy) Cook, David Cook, Nicole (Jeff) Carson, Caleb (Katie) Carson; great grandchildren Naomi Shofner, Damon Shofner, Elsa Shofner, Nick Cook, Kaylee Cook, Josephien Cook, Waylon Cook, Carson Cook, Bella Myers, Lily Carson, William Carson; great-great-grandchildren, Dean Shofner, Jackson Ray Cook.

Leah was born in Wichita, Kansas. She graduated from Wichita North High. She met Merritt Ray (Will) Carson on a blind date. They were married in 1951. Leah worked at a bakery in her younger years, Sandlian Management Company, Union National Bank, and Greenway Electric. Later in life she enjoyed her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and traveling with her husband. They went on multiple bus tours throughout the country, and cruises to Alaska, Hawaii, Mexico, and many to the Caribbean. Leah was a long time member of Linwood Church of the Nazarene. Leah lost the love of her life, her husband Will, in April 2024. In her last days she was secure in the knowledge of Heaven waiting and seeing Will again.
