Levi Ellis Barton

Levi Ellis Barton passed away in his home on September 15, 2024, surrounded by his loving family, who provided him with comfort and support in his final moments.

Born in Checotah, Oklahoma, on January 26, 1930, Levi was the cherished son of M.E. and Nora Barton. He was preceded in death by his three sisters and one brother.

In 1951, Levi met his beloved wife, Floy, in Russellville, Arkansas. Their enduring love story spanned an incredible 73 years, during which they traveled together, cherished time with family, and, above all, devoted themselves to serving Jesus.

After their marriage, Levi and Floy settled in Wichita, Kansas, where Levi enjoyed a fulfilling 35-year career at Cessna Aircraft. His time at Cessna was marked by camaraderie and numerous stories about working on Cessna 172s and Cessna 177s.

Levi is survived by his devoted wife, Floy Barton; his daughter and son in law, Vickie and Gary Matney; his grandchildren, Kasey and Nathan Clyde, and Melette and Andrew Leonard; his great-grandchildren, Tatum and Kaden Clyde; and a host of cherished nieces and nephews. His legacy of love and faith will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.
