Lisa Lynelle Davis

Lisa Lynelle (Harris) Davis (b. November 11, 1965), beloved wife, mom, grandma, daughter, sister and aunt, went home to be with the Lord on March 2^nd, 2024. She was raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, in a loving home by parents Kelly Jr. and Janelle Harris along with her brother Kel (Kelly III). Lisa met her husband Troy in a high school art class; two classes her junior, his pursuit persisted until she reluctantly accepted a date. Lisa graduated from Woodlawn High School in 1983 and she and Troy married in 1984. They welcomed their first child Dan in 1985. They attended Louisiana State University together with Lisa graduating in 1990 with a B.S. in Dietetics. After college Lisa worked as a claims processor for an HMO and then as a service representative for Nutri-System. Troy graduated LSU in 1991 and entered the Air Force in 1992; Lisa then took on the tough role of stay at home mom, a role she excelled at and cherished. Over the years Lisa and Troy raised three children; Daniel, Zachary and Cameron.

For her entire adult life, Lisa was a devoted Christian. As a faithful praying mom, she was always a beacon in the home. Her gentle selfless spirit was a loving example to both her husband and children; this extended to her friends. Lisa loved to bake and make all sorts of sweets. She often shared friendship bread with friends, doctors, nurses, and staff at various organizations. Anyone who knew Lisa well knows she absolutely loved her Cardio Dance / Zumba family & community, frequenting classes all across Wichita. Outside of those passions, Lisa had a fantastic sense of style; she truly enjoyed fashion, dressing to suit many current trends … and she loved her boots! She also enjoyed getaways with Troy, visiting numerous small town B&Bs and antique shopping together.

Lisa was preceded in death by her father. She is survived by her husband Troy, children Dan (wife Nathalie), Zach (fiancé Liz) and Cam (wife Tabetha), three grandchildren (Elena, Elliot and Isabel), mother Janelle, brother Kelly III, nephews Michael and Dylon, and niece Abigail.

A celebration of life service is scheduled for Saturday, March 9th at 11 a.m. at the Cozine Life Events Center, 11500 E. 21^st St., N. Wichita, KS 67206.
