Lloyd Williams

Lloyd Williams, 92, passed away peacefully with family on Sunday, February 19, 2023. Lloyd worked at Boeing as an Aircraft Mechanic, and worked at Gates Learjet in Experimental. He retired from Boeing in 1993 as an instructor.  Lloyd was raised to master Mason in 1957 at Wichita Masonic Lodge #99 A.F. & A.M., he went on to serve in all lodge officer positions until becoming master of the lodge in 1971. He joined the Wichita Consistory in 1972 becoming a 32nd degree Mason, also joining the Wichita Median Shrine temple that same year. He served as Secretary of the lodge for 13 years and had a very active Masonic life later becoming a 33rd Honorary Degree Mason. Lloyd was the youngest of 9 children. After graduatingfrom Riverton High School in 1949 he moved to Wichita, it was there where he met the love of his life, a waitress at Kings X. After a short time, they were married January 2, 1951 and spent the next 70 years together until her passing in March 2021. Lloyd enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping with his friends and family. After his heart surgery in 1995 he took up golfing. He also was an avid bowler and participated in several leagues. He was proceeded in death by his wife of 70 years, Dora L.J. Williams. Survivors include children: Michael D. Williams (Claudia), Vicki J. Rogers (Steve), Randy R. Williams (Vicki Lynn), and Todd A. Williams (Patricia); 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Visitation with family present, 6-8PM Tuesday, February 28th, and Funeral service 10:00AM, Wednesday, March 1st, both at Broadway Mortuary, 1147 S Broadway.
