Lois Jordan

Lois Viola (Wolf) Jordan was born on November 14, 1927 to Henry and Amy (Frederickson) Wolf at their farm home between Portland and Ashton, KS. Lois graduated from the Wichita Business College, and was working at the Southwestern Bell Telephone Company when she met and married James (Jim) Jordan. They were blessed with four children, 9 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She was a member of Alpha Iota Business Sorority in which she served as International President. She was a stay at home mother until 1968 when she started working as clerical support for USD 259. During the 23 years she worked for the school system, she held various positions, including that of a training secretary for nine years. She was an active member of the local and state educational secretaries associations, serving as president of each of these organizations. Following her retirement she worked for the National Association of Educational Office Professionals as the Registrar for the Professional Standards Program. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and her 6 siblings. Survivors include her son, James and wife, Pam Jordan, Jr.; daughters, Linda and husband, Brian Hopper, Ann and husband Bud Cesena and Lori and husband Scott Moshier. Her sister-in-law, Georgia Ritter, nine grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren also survive her.
