He would spend his weekends at the track racing his Chevy. Mack then began racing motocross into the early 70’s. After a bad racing accident, he decided to slow it down a bit and began riding Observed Trials. Being highly active in the Ark Valley Trials Assocation, he worked his way up through the classes, getting better, and enjoying this new passion with every moment. Hisgarage became the home of the club meetings, and he would help countless people if they had any problems with their motorcycle. In later years, he could be found at the trials site twice a week working on cleaning out and setting up sections for the competition. He loved tinkering in his shop, spending most of the time working on small engines. Mack was known for his gentle kindness and his love for others. He loved attending Emporia Avenue Church of Christ, and the friendships he found there. Mack had the blessing of being baptized by his brother, Loy, on his 77th birthday. He very much enjoyed his time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
