MaeDean Cochran

MaeDean passed away peacefully at Sedgwick Plaza Assisted Living on Jan. 16, 2023. Open viewing 9-4:00pm, Thursday and Funeral Service 1:30 Friday, both at Broadway Mortuary. She is survived by her children Stanley (Joyce) Cochran and Teresa (Mike) Clark, 4 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and 7 nieces and nephews. She was preceded by her husband, Harold Cochran; parents, Arthur and Mabel Little; brother, Bob Little and sister, Helen Ruth Little. MaeDean was born n Center Ridge, AR where she grew up working on her parent's cotton farm. In 1939 her parents moved their family to a farm between Argonia and Conway Springs, KS. MaeDean graduated from Argonia High School, moved in with Rosa Lubber in Wichita and began working at Wichita Candy Kitchen on Douglas St., she then worked at Southwestern Bell as a PBX operator then retired from Lario Oil Co. in 1984. After retirement, MaeDean and Harold enjoyed being winter Texans, volunteering with The River Festival and delivering Meals on Wheels.
