Mandi Leigh Edwards

Mandi Leigh Edwards, 49, a loving wife, mother, and devoted Mimi, went to be with Jesus on Tuesday, June 10, 2025.

Mandi was born on September 16, 1975, in Syracuse, Kansas, the beloved daughter of Raymond Clark and Kat (Hartshorn) Clark. Her life was marked by deep faith, unwavering love for her family, and a heart full of kindness and strength.

Mandi cherished her roles as a wife, mother, and Mimi. She poured her heart into her family and found joy in the everyday moments—whether spending time with her granddaughters, offering encouragement to a friend, or simply sharing her warm, generous spirit with those around her.

Her love for Jesus guided her life, and she was a source of light and comfort to all who knew her. Mandi will be remembered for her gentle heart, her beautiful smile, contagious laugh and the way she made others feel truly seen and loved.

On March 16, 2009, Mandi was united in marriage to the love of her life, Neil Edwards, in a beautiful ceremony in Maui, Hawaii. Together, they blended their families and built a life full of love, laughter, and shared memories. Mandi embraced her role as a mother to Kierstin Sanders, Daric Sanders, and Kaitlin Edwards with open arms and an open heart, creating a home filled with warmth, support, and unconditional love.

Mandi began her healthcare journey as a dental hygienist before earning her nursing degree. Throughout her nursing career, she served in a variety of specialized roles including pediatric nursing, neonatal intensive care (NICU), pediatric oncology, and labor and delivery. She went on to establish her own medical aesthetics practice, Care Esthetics, where she combined her clinical expertise with a passion for helping others feel confident and cared for. Mandi was deeply committed to lifelong learning, consistently pursuing continuing education and staying up to date with advancements in the medical field to provide the best possible care.

Mandi had a deep passion for volleyball, both as a player and a coach, and she thrived on staying active, spending time outdoors, and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Creative and hands-on, she was skilled in DIY crafts. Mandi loved to travel and explore new places, but her heart was always happiest at home. A dedicated Kansas City Chiefs fan, she rarely missed a home game and cherished tailgating with friends. She found strength and joy in her beloved Bible study group, meeting weekly—and often more—fostering faith and friendship. Above all, Mandi’s greatest joy and purpose in life was her family, whom she loved fiercely and unconditionally.

Mandi was preceded in death by her mother and grandparents. She is lovingly survived by her husband, Neil; her children, Kierstin (Victor), Daric (Tessa), and Katie (Dylan); her granddaughters, Leighton and Octavia; her dad, Raymond (Tammy); her siblings, Kali, Stephanie (Thor), and Carl (Lizeth); her devoted aunt, Sandra (Dave); her best friend, Mary Jo (Anthony); her fur babies, Lily and Remy; and many other cherished aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and extended family members.

A Celebration of Life honoring Mandi will be held on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. at Reliance Community Church, 11910 West Pawnee, Wichita, Kansas. A lunch reception will follow on the church grounds. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Reliance Community Church Youth Ministry at the address listed above.

Mandi loved vibrant colors and lived life with brightness and joy—please feel free to wear colors that reflect her spirit; there is no need to wear black.

Though her absence leaves a deep void, we take comfort in knowing that Mandi is now fully restored and at peace, free from all suffering. Her vibrant spirit, fierce love, and unwavering faith will continue to inspire all who knew her.
