Marc Polk

March 14, 1985 — October 12, 2022

Marc Anthony Polk passed away 10/12/2022. He was born at Loring Air Force Base, Maine on 03/14/1985.
Throughout his childhood, he and his family lived a military life, traveling across America from base to base. Eventually, they settled in Wichita, Kansas. Marc graduated from Derby High School and attended Wichita State University with hopes of obtaining a degree in mechanical engineering.
Marc dedicated his work life to the service industry, working as a server, bartender, and general manager at many fine dining restaurants in the Wichita area.  He had a passion for food and cooking and could be found in the kitchen creating memorable meals for his family and friends. Consider yourself lucky if you ever tasted his cheesecake!

Marc’s true pride and joy were his two boys. Being their father was everything to him.  He cultivated their love for collecting comics, playing video games, traveling to Comic-Con conventions, and teaching them all about the Buccaneers.  They spent hours putting Legos together and enjoyed anything Star Wars. The boys couldn’t get enough “dad cuddles” while he read them books.

Marc was always down to have a good time. He loved making memories with his friends and considered them an extension of his family.
He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. A celebration of life will be at 3:00pm, Friday, October 21, at Broadway Mortuary. Marc is preceded in death by his grandparents, Joseph and Janice Doyon, and Stephen and Geneva Toms; and brother, Matthew Polk. He is survived by his parents, Bob and Lisa Polk; loving wife, Naomi Polk; sons, Jameson Polk, and Ronan Polk; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
