Margie L. Palmer

Margie Lou Palmer, 85, of Wichita (formally of Derby), Kansas passed away peacefully at her home on July 17, 2026. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend, leaving behind a legacy of faith, generosity, and devotion to her family.

She is survived by her children Glenda Baker (John) and Steve Palmer (Tammy); grandchildren Roxanne McAdam, Travis Baker, and Elizabeth Justice (Brandon); and great grandchildren Coral Diller (Kendall), Chanel Wallace, Amara Powell, Violet Palmer, Aurora Dawson, Xavier Palmer, Greyson Justice, Judah Justice, Alaric Palmer, Lucas Justice, and Abigail Justice. She was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 67 years, Ira Glenn Palmer Jr., mother Mary Ann Masters, stepfather Walter Masters, and granddaughters Rachel Baker and Sydney Palmer.

Margie was a former Senior Records Clerk with Boeing, and a retiree who worked diligently throughout her life. She was a longtime member of several churches, including Westside Nazarene Church in Wichita, Holiday Island Baptist Church in Arkansas, and Pleasant View Baptist Church in Derby. Her faith in God and Jesus Christ guided her life and shaped her family’s as well. Margie will be remembered as a loving spirit—kind, generous, persistent, and always willing to help. Her memory will forever be a blessing to all who loved her.

A Celebration of Life Service has been planned for 10:30 am, Monday, August 3rd, at Cozine Life Events Center, 11500 E. 21st St. N.
