Mark Perry

Mark Lin Perry, age 60, passed away peacefully at home in Wichita, Kansas on August 14, 2023, after an 8-month long battle with cancer. A private family service has been held. He was born on September 4, 1962, to Willard Eugene and Barbara Jean Perry.

Mark graduated from Shawnee Heights High School in 1980 and accelerated at everything he did. He enjoyed camping, fishing, motorcycle riding, football, and golf. Although he never achieved a hole in one, he was very proud of his score of a 2 on a par 5, known as an Albatross.

Mark married the love of his life, Regina Marie Brewster Perry, on February 20, 2007, in Las Vegas, Nevada.

He was a very hard worker, spending 21 years as a correction officer at the Kansas Department of Corrections. He also served 13 years in law enforcement and 5 years as a maintenance supervisor for the City of Benton.

Mark was preceded in death by his father, Gene; sister, Linda Powell; nephew, Garrett Brewster; and father-in-law, Terry Brewster.

He is survived by his wife whom he adored, Gina Perry; children, Mark Perry, Jr and Misty Perry; stepchildren, Andrew Shipman and Cody Shipman; grandchildren, Chance Perry and Willow Perry; mother, Barbara Perry; brother, Mike (Patricia) Perry; mother-in-law, Saundra Brewster; sister-in-law, Kristin (Warren) Bearup; brother-in-law, Kelly Brewster; nieces, Jessica Horton and Alex Bearup; and nephews, Tyler Powell, Zach Powell, Luke Perry, and Jacob Seachris.
