Mark L. Shepherd

Mark L. Shepherd, 73, of Wichita, Kansas, passed away on June 23, 2026.

A  Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, at Broadway Mortuary, 1147 S.  Broadway, in Wichita, Kansas. A time to gather with family will also be held at Broadway Mortuary from 5-7 pm on Tuesday, June 30.

Mark retired from Boeing and Spirit AeroSystems after many years of dedicated service. He was also a passionate member of the local car show community, where he formed many lasting friendships.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Margaret Shepherd, and his son-in-law, Thomas J. Stone.

Mark is lovingly remembered by his daughters, Michele (Jordan) Burnett, Renee' Stone, Kayla (Troy) McIntire, and Nicole (Shane) Zimmerman; his sister, Joanne (Steven) Hull; 11 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; 2 nieces; 1 nephew and many members of his beloved car show family.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, a cause that was especially close to Mark's heart. He often said he wanted to help "take care of those babies," and he would want that legacy of compassion to continue through the generosity of others. Mark will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
