Marsha Peterson

Marsha Gay Peterson, 81, passed away on Sunday, August 24, 2025. Marsha was born on September 9, 1943 in Winfield, Kansas to parents, Ray and Aline Benjamin. She spent her childhood in Belle Plaine, before moving to Wichita. Marsha lived a full life that was highlighted by being a mother to her 5 children: Janet, Jerry, Jill, Joe, and Brad. Outside of being a mom, Marsha loved sewing, needle point, and reading home magazines for new ideas or recipes. She thrived at making her house feel like a home to her friends, family, and numerous pets.

Marsha is preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Aline Benjamin; son, Joe Peterson; and brothers, Ronald Benjamin, and Royce Benjamin. She is survived by sons, Jerry (Jennifer) Peterson, and Brad Tucker; daughters, Janet Lydon, and Jill (John) Matava; siblings, Randy (Jeanie) Benjamin, and Kay (Gary) Roper; grandchildren, Christopher Peterson, Michael Peterson, Mathew (Julie) Peterson, Noah Tucker, Kana Tucker, Victor Lydon, Rachael (Steven Manfull) Lydon, Kate (Jacob Helton) Matava, Benjamin Matava, and great-granddaughters, Lily, Amelia, and Vivian.
