Melba Katherine Langenegger

Melba Katherine Langenegger, 91, retired Dillons Deli Department employee, passed away Monday, August 31, 2026 in Wichita, KS. Melba was born December 31, 1934 in Newton, KS to the late Pete and Margaret Androes. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Karen Langenegger; brothers, Willard, Leslie and Paul Androes; and sisters, Betty Harmony and Dorothy Foust, and ex-husband, David Langenegger. Melba's survivors include her sons, John D. and wife, Lori and Don E. and wife, Loveeta Langenegger; sister, Mary Lou Schmidt; grandchildren, Sam Langenegger, Sadie (Braden) Belche, Seth Langenegger (fiancee Alexandra), Scott Langenegger, Shawn (Betsey) Langenegger, Katy (Chris) Wissinger and great-grandchildren, Lydia and Whitney. Funeral Service will be 10:30am, Tuesday, September 8, 2026 at Olivet Baptist Church with Graveside Services 2:00pm, Tuesday at Greenwood Cemetery, Newton, KS. Melba will be greatly missed by her family and all that knew her.
