Mathias, Merle "Leon", 88, passed away Sunday, August 19, 2018. Visitation with family will be 6-8, p.m., Thursday, August 23, and Funeral Service will be 10:30 a.m., Friday, August 24, both at Broadway Mortuary. He was preceded in death by parents, Merl and Lola Mathias; first wife, Virda Mathias; brothers, Glen Mathias and Willard Mathias; sister, Dorothy Gregg; and granddaughter, Michelle Doyle. Survivors include wife, Jan Mathias; son, Kevin (Susan) Mathias; daughter, Kay (Chad) Dugan; brother, Paul Mathias; 4 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren. A memorial has been established with Down Syndrome Society of Wichita, 9415 E. Harry St., Ste. 405, Wichita, KS 67207. Services by Broadway Mortuary.
