Mildred Fall

October 17, 1940 — February 5, 2023

Mildred Fall

Mildred Elaine Fall, born Mildred Elaine McAuley, was the only daughter of Leland Earl “Pat” and Eola McAuley. She departed from this earthly life peacefully on Sunday, February 5th, 2023 after a short illness at the age of 82.

She is survived by her husband, David Fall, and her two children:  Doug Fall of Brecksville, OH (wife Christine and sons Lucas and David) and Chris Fall of Rochester, NY,  (wife Michele and sons Owen and Tristan). She was born in Hartford, KS and attended school there, graduating from Emporia High School in 1958.  After high school she attended Emporia State University, where she graduated with a degree in Education. After meeting her husband, David, while roller skating in Wichita, KS, they were married on September 2, 1961.  She taught business classes at East High, as well as substituted at numerous schools in the area.

After spending some time in several teaching jobs, she found her true enjoyment when she worked as the clerkship coordinator for rotating Psychology Interns at the University of Kansas School of Medicine - Wichita. She enjoyed traveling with her family and visited almost every state in the country.  Her favorite place was Colorado where she introduced her sons to hiking in the Rocky Mountains and even tent camping in bear country.  She was quite social and during her travels it was quite normal for Mildred to “bump into” people that she knew from back home, much to the astonishment of her family. She enjoyed playing and was the church organist at her church in Emporia for many years.

She attended First Evangelical Free Church in Wichita for many years. She was a strong Christian and has the assurance that she is now with the Lord in Heaven. Visitation will be from 6-8pm, Friday, February 10th, at Cozine Life Events Center. Graveside services will be at Kensington Gardens at 11 am, Saturday, February 11th. This will be followed by a memorial service at First Evangelical Free Church later that day at 2 p.m. Share condolences at www.cozine.com. Services by Cozine Memorial Group – Cozine Life Events Center.
