Nancy Wandling

Nancy (Simone) Wandling passed away peacefully on April 1, 2026, in Denver, Colorado. She was surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Pittsburg, Kansas to Frank and Mae Simone, on February 8, 1935, Nancy lived in Pittsburg until her college years. She attended Pittsburg University and the University of Kansas, earning an education degree. She taught elementary school, but her passion was teaching piano lessons. At KU she met Warren Wandling Sr, and they were married in 1958.

Nancy brought joy to family and friends through her kindness and natural talent in music. Accomplished at playing the piano and accordion, she volunteered to play with the Brookdale Choir, The Historical Museum, or her Church. She inspired her grandkids and developing musicians to love music through piano lessons and her fun nature.

Nancy was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta, PEO, the Junior League. She spent her summers in Land O'Lakes Wisconsin and was a volunteer at the Historical Museum.

Nancy is survived by her sons Lee (Sallie) Wandling, Warren (Suzanne) Wandling, Jr. and Todd (Brenda) Wandling, her six grandchildren and one great grandson. She was predeceased by her husband Warren Wandling, Sr.

Nancy will be remembered for her loving nature, her effervescent smile, her deep friendships, her faith, and her love of family.

Services will be held on Friday, April 24, 2026 at1pm
