Starts at 10:00am (Central time)
Nita S. Miller went home to Jesus on August 1, 2023. She was 94 years old. A memorial service celebrating Nita’s life will be held at 10:00 am, Thursday, August 10, at Eastminster Presbyterian Church. During the service, Nita’s husband of 73 years, Don Miller, will also be remembered. Don died during the COVID pandemic.
Nita was born to Clarence and Louise Scott on April 6, 1929 in Lawton, Oklahoma. As a child, Nita was a busy, happy little girl who enjoyed teasing her older siblings. Nita’s fun, joyful spirit brought us all laughter and love throughout her life.
Nita met her husband, Don Miller, in their high school English class. They were married and had three children, Lynne Miller, Brent Miller (Debi), and Lori Miller. Nita dearly loved her three children; five grandchildren, Shawn Milliken, Kristin Shropshire, Brady Miller, Blake Miller and Brock Miller; and 10 great-grandchildren, as well as her many life-long friends.
Nita had an unwavering faith in God and her family’s faith was important to her. Nita always looked forward to her Bible studies and Eastminster’s long lasting Sunday School class that she and Don attended for decades.
Nita was always generous and she showered blessings and smiles on those around her. Nita will be, and already is, greatly missed.
