Nour Maalouf Haddad, 98, of Wichita, KS, passed away peacefully on October 3, 2023.
Nour was born on July 20, 1925, in Beirut, Lebanon. One of 7 children, she found a love for music and was an exceptional pianist. One of her most significant musical accomplishments was playing for the French President, General Charles De Gaulle.
In her later years, Nour worked as a secretary at the French Embassy in Lebanon. Nour immigrated to the United States in 1981 with her children to escape the Lebanese civil war. To support her family in a new country, Nour proudly worked at McDonald's for many years in Oklahoma City, OK. She enjoyed experiencing the true American dream. She then settled in Wichita, KS, with her daughters and grandchildren until her passing.
Nour was preceded in death by her siblings, husband Antoine Haddad, and daughter, Randa Haddad Stevens.
Nour is survived by daughter, Mimi Wakim (Dr. Tony Wakim) of Wichita, KS; son, Walid Haddad (Dawn Haddad), and son George Haddad (Cris Haddad) of Oklahoma City, OK., along with 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
