Pastor Edward Peter DesPLas, 81, former Pastor of Gypsum United Methodist Church and Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church and retired Reliability Engineer, passed away Monday, November 6, 2017. He was a Master Mason with the Plano Lodge #768 A.F.andA.M. Memorial service 4:00pm, Saturday, West Side United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Leslie. Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Pastor Sandy DesPlas; sons, Edward (Rosemary), Douglas (Melanie) and Walton (Juanita) DesPlas; grandchildren, Mikelle (David) Woods, Nicholas (Elizabeth) DesPlas, Mercedes (Richard) Quintana, Victor DesPlas and 4 great-grandchildren.
