Pat Allnutt

Patricia Ann (Tisdale) Allnutt, Hillsboro, Kansas, passed away on May 28, 2023.

Born October 31, 1947, to David Arthur Tisdale and Margarett Jesse (Cates) Tisdale, in Flora, Illinois. Patricia is preceded in death by her parents, David and Margarett Tisdale; and brother, Michael Tisdale. She is survived by loving husband, Fred Allnutt; sons, Grant (Delcie) Chappuis, Jesse (Emily Smail) Newell, and Cory (Renee) Allnutt; daughter, Robin (Paul) Burkeybile; siblings, Stephen Tisdale, Kristi Tisdale Oliver, Gary Bailey, Linda Redrup and Nancy Smith; and grandchildren, Austin Newell, Ryan Newell, Gabrielle Chappuis, Loralai Chappuis, Madison Perkins, Mason Mead, Lukas Allnutt, Clinton Brenner, Anakin Burkeybile, Noah Burkeybile, Tyler Burkeybile, and Dagon Burkeybile.

Patricia grew up in Illinois with her family until her mother passed away. Following the loss, her father changed careers and relocated the family to Louisiana.

She worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company throughout her adult life and retired from the company in 2001. Patricia began her career in Louisiana working as an operator and became a frame attendant. In the late 1970’s, she transferred within the company and moved to Kansas.

Patricia was a volunteer guardian for adults through the Kansas Guardianship Program. Patricia loved dancing and listening to music. She had a love for music of all genres. She loved playing poker and enjoyed getting to know and making many friends playing poker.

She loved fishing and many times after she retired, she could be found fishing at Marion Lake. She could out-fish just about anyone that accompanied her.

Patricia adored her sons. For her, being a mother was the best ‘job’ in the entire world. Until she became a Nana – that trumped everything else. She doted on all her grandchildren and would do her best to attend all events that involved her grandchildren.

There was an enormous love for her dogs throughout her life, as well. She loved all animals; her pets were her 4-legged babies.

Patricia led a wonderful life full of all the ups and downs that came with life in general. Most challenges, she met with a headstrong, stubborn streak that is well known. At the same time, she loved to laugh and joke with those around her. Patricia will be missed deeply by all who knew and loved her.
