Patricia Dale Draper, lovingly known as Patti, passed away on August 20, 2026, at the age of 82. She was born on July 15, 1944, in Kellogg, Idaho.
Patti’s life was marked by devotion to her family, her faith, and the work she embraced through the years. Her career included banking, elementary education, and homemaking, each reflecting her care for others and her steady commitment to those around her. She devoted her life to following Christ and deeply loved the Lord, a faith that remained central throughout her life.
To her grandchildren, she was “Grammy,” a name that carried warmth, love, and pride. Patti was fiercely proud of her two sons, her nine grandchildren and their spouses, and her six great-grandchildren. She loved and cherished the time she spent with them, and her family will remember her as a constant source of love and encouragement.
She is survived by her sons, Ron Draper and his wife Tracy, and Randy Draper and his wife Brooke. She also leaves behind her grandchildren Samuel Draper, Paul Draper, Matthew Draper, John Draper, Clay Draper, Alexis Bartels, Kenidi Russell, Payton Hunt, and Abbie Draper. Patti is also survived by her sisters, Penny Hergert and Peggy Prater. Her family and friends will carry forward the memory of her love, her faith, and the joy she found in being with those she held dear.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Haroldine “Jeri” Nelson, and her stepfather, Max Wayne Laing.
A memorial service followed by a luncheon will be held on September 26, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Cozine Life Events Center, 11500 E. 21st St. N., Wichita, Kansas 67206.
