Patricia "Pat" Kalitta

Patricia “Pat” Jane Kalitta, 91, met her Lord and Savior on January 18, 2022.

She was born September 6, 1930 to David and Dorothy Fish in Detroit, Michigan. She attended Redford High School where she met the love of her life William “Bill” Edward Kalitta. They married in 1950 and were blessed with five children. Pat loved her church and church families. She was a member of St. Timothy Lutheran in Detroit, Michigan, Christ Our Savior in Livonia, Michigan and Holy Cross Lutheran in Wichita, Kansas. Pat was devoted to her family and friends. The ‘life of the party’, she relished having fun.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband of over 50 years, Bill, her infant daughter, Jane, and her son, Stephen. She is survived by her sister, Judy (Jesse) Mondella; her children, Kathie (Shaker) Dakhil, Paul (Maria) Kalitta, David (Laura) Kalitta and daughter-in-law, Kathy Kalitta. She found great joy in her 14 grandchildren, many great grandchildren and nieces and nephews that loved her dearly.

Pat loved flowers, but she loved helping others even more. In lieu of flowers, we suggest a donation to one of her favorite charities. Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 600 N. Public viewing will be held Sunday, January 23, 2022 at 2:30 p.m. at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 600 N. Greenwich in Wichita Kansas. Funeral service immediately following at 3:30 p.m.  Live stream of the service will be available. Pat will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband Bill at Glen Eden Lutheran Memorial Park in Michigan at a later date.
