Peggy Waters

December 22, 1956 – December 6, 2025

Peggy Jo Waters, 68, of Wichita, KS, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 6, 2025, surrounded by the family she cherished so deeply.

Peggy was the beloved wife of Bob L. Waters. Over their 27 years of marriage, they built a life filled with love, partnership, and a shared passion for camping and travel.

Peggy showed her love by cooking and serving her family, finding joy in gathering with friends and family. She was an avid reader and a gifted seamstress who crocheted and sewed beautiful items for those she loved. She possessed a unique talent for finding "diamonds in the rough," always loving the thrill of the hunt while finding treasures at Goodwill.

Above all, Peggy loved her family. Her happiest moments were spent in the great outdoors or simply gathering together at home.

She was the devoted mother of Amy Krueger (Nick), Kelly Leathers (Jeremiah), and Kevin Waters.

Her legacy continues through her four adored grandchildren: Ethan Krueger, Aubrey Owens, Elizabeth Krueger, and Garrett Leathers. To them, she was a source of warmth and fun, and she treasured every moment she spent in their company.

She is also survived by her brother, John Brubaker (Cheryl), along with extended family members whom she loved and cherished.

Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Etta Mae Brubaker, and her son, Brent Waters.
