Martin, Richard “Dick” E., 84, Illustrator and Designer, passed away Sunday, August 5, 2018. No services will be held. Born November 18, 1933 in Ohio, he grew up in Detroit, Michigan, where he studied art. After moving to Chicago, he worked for a time as a designer in educational publishing, until he and two friends started their own design firm. Dick left the firm to work as a free-lance illustrator, which he did for almost 20 years. He is preceded in death by parents, Oren and Pearl Martin, Survivors include his beloved wife, Sharon Fear; brother, John Martin; sister, Ruth Chapman; 2 nephews; and 1 niece.
