Robert N. "Bob" Carriker

Robert N. "Bob" Carriker, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully on January 21, 2026, in Wichita, Kansas, at the age of 81. Born on October 21, 1944, in Washington, D.C., Bob lived a life filled with love, dedication, and service to others.

After completing his Bachelor's Degree in Economics from Midwestern University in Wichita Falls, TX, Bob eventually became the proud owner of ACI Motor Freight, Inc., where he worked for many years.

Bob's commitment to serving others extended far beyond his career; he was an active member of several boards including the Presbyterian Manor Board and the Rolling Hills Board, and he also dedicated his time to the Salvation Army. He had a passion for helping those in need.

An avid lover of nature and leisure, Bob found joy in fishing, golfing, and cooking. These hobbies brought him peace and happiness, attributes that he shared generously with his loved ones.

He is survived by his wife, Sandra Carriker; daughters, Lisa Spangler and Laura Hopkins, along with son-in-law Clint Hopkins. Bob's legacy continues through his grandchildren, Amanda Carriker, Alan Spangler, and Alyssa Spangler, as well as three great-grandchildren, who will carry forward the values and love he instilled in them.

Bob will be dearly missed by all who knew him and will be remembered for his dedication to family, service, and community. A Reception celebrating his life, will be held on March 14, 2026, at First Presbyterian Church, Wichita, KS, beginning at 2:00 pm.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Pete and Betty Carriker, and his brother, Richard "Ricky" Carriker.
