Robert Sawyer

Robert "Bob" Sawyer, 76, passed away Monday, July 26, 2021. He was a graduate of Oxford High School, Oxford, Kansas, Arkansas City Junior College, Arkansas City, Kansas, with an Associate Degree in Electrical Engineering, Chapman College, Orange County, California with a Bachelor Degree in Electrical Technology, and Wichita State University, Wichita, Kansas with a Bachelor Degree in Computer Science. Bob served in the United States Navy for 14 years with two tours in Vietnam. Bob retired from a career in computer science and engineering. He was passionate about all things electronics and most of all photography. He loved to travel and be with his family.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Russell and Charlotte Sawyer and granddaughter, Abigail Sawyer. He is survived by his wife, Judy (Cooper) Sawyer; sons, Brian Sawyer (Peggy) and Darin Sawyer (April); brothers, Dennis Sawyer (Judy) and Randy Sawyer (Susan Stallard); sister, Donna Beiter (Ron); and grandchildren, Brayden, Carter, Maggie, Paige, Molly, and Blake. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1:30 pm, Friday, July 30, at First United Methodist Church, 330 N.
