Ron Sinclair

Beloved husband, father and Papa, Ronald NcCoy Sinclair, 75, of Wichita, Kansas passed away on Monday, April 24th after a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease. 

 

Ron was born in Eads, Colorado on April 13, 1948 to Natalie & Cleason Sinclair. Growing up in western Kansas, he attended Sublette High School where he played football, basketball, baseball and trumpet in the band. 

 

He attended Emporia State University where he met the love of his life, Debbie. Ron graduated with Bachelor of Science in Business, Accounting and moved to Wichita after graduation. Ron & Debbie married on December 27, 1970 in Liberal, Kansas. 

 

He was President of Grand Mesa Operating Co and later started Sinclair Links, LLC. Ron was on the KIOGA Board of Directors for many years and President of the Petroleum Club from 1992-1993.

 

An avid traveler, Ron especially loved Maui and vacationing at The Broadmoor in Colorado Springs.  Some of his favorite trips included cruising through the Panama Canal, seeing the Super Bowl and watching the Masters in Augusta, Georgia.

 

Ron loved playing golf at many bucket list courses- Pebble Beach, the Plantation Course at Kapalua, St Andrews in Scotland, Wynn Golf Club, TPC Sawgrass and his favorite home course, Flint Hills National. 

 

Ron is survived by his wife of fifty-two years, Debbie, his son, Scott (Julie), his daughter Megan (Mark), four grandchildren- Alex & Abbie Sinclair and Lydia & Calum Osmundsen.  He is preceded in death by his parents.
