Ronald Zerbe

Ronald Dean Zerbe, age 78, of Bel Aire, Kansas, passed away on November 8, 2025, just two days shy of his 79th birthday.

Ron was born on November 10, 1946, to Alvin & Lena Faye, in Wichita, Kansas, where he grew up alongside his twin brother, Don. He graduated from Wichita State University and served his country in the Vietnam War.

In August of 1972, he married Rochelle (Shelley) Shaw. Ron purchased Don's TV & Video from his father-in-law and dedicated many years to running the family business with pride. Ron and Shelley welcomed two children, Chris (Amy) and Melissa (Matt), who went on to bless him with 4 grandchildren; Ayden, Landon, Briley, and Broden.

He had a love for the outdoors, especially being in Colorado, where he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping. In his younger years, he loved skiing, both on the slopes and the water. Ron loved being a pilot and the freedom of flying his family to Breckenridge or the Lake of the Ozarks to spend time outdoors. In later years, he found peace in caring for his yard, often seen outside mowing or tending to his tomato plants. Ron loved to watch basketball and could often, anytime of year, be found watching basketball on tv. Rock Chalk!

Ron will be missed by his wife, kids, and grandkids and thought of often with fond memories of their time together.
