Ryan Joseph Heier, age 43, of Wichita, Kansas, passed away on June 16, 2026.
Ryan was preceded in death by his parents, Kendall and Carol Heier. He is survived by his loving siblings, Tammy Heier, Keith (Niki) Heier, and Erin Bailey. He leaves behind his cherished nieces and nephews: Rebecca, Bellis, Erica (Eric), Shawn, Clayton, Elizabeth, Juliann, and Everett. Ryan was a proud great-uncle to Amelia and Augustin. He was also cherished by many aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends.
Ryan attended St. Anne's School and graduated from Wichita South High School with the Class of 2002. He later pursued his passion for cosmetology, graduating from Eric Fisher Academy in 2010. Throughout his career as a stylist with Great Clips, Ryan found joy in helping others look and feel their best. He also worked at Build-A-Bear, where his warm personality and genuine kindness brought smiles to countless faces.
Ryan never met a stranger. His gift for connecting with people and making them feel welcome was one of his most remarkable qualities. He had a generous heart, a contagious spirit, and a genuine desire to make others happy. Whether through a kind word, a laugh, or simply being present, Ryan had a unique ability to brighten someone's day.
Above all else, Ryan's nieces and nephews meant the world to him. He was their biggest cheerleader, always encouraging their dreams, celebrating their achievements, and offering unwavering love and support. The special bond he shared with them will be treasured forever.
Ryan will be remembered for his kindness, his compassion, his sense of humor, and the joy he brought to those around him. His legacy will live on in the countless lives he touched through his friendship, generosity, and love.
Ryan's memory will forever remain in the hearts of his family, friends, coworkers, and all who were fortunate enough to know him.
A Celebration of Life will be held on July 3, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. at Cozine Life Events Center, 11500 E. 21st Street North, Wichita, Kansas 67206.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Ryan's memory to organizations that were dear to him, including Safe Streets Wichita, Inc. and Positive Directions.
