Sharit McGinnis

Sharit Carol McGinnis, 82, passed away on Friday, July 31, 2026. She was born on August 26, 1943 in Caldwell, Kansas to parents, Conrad and Opal Kollmorgen. She is preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Darla Arnold; and siblings, Helen Lockwood, Hazel Sandell, Kenneth Kollmorgen, Judy Knight, Leonard Kollmorgen, Dolly Dean Kollmorgen, and Arthur Kaup. She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Bill McGinnis; sons and daughters-in-law, David McGinnis, Dennis and Stephanie McGinnis, Doug and Karla McGinnis, and son-in-law, John Arnold; brother, Leonard Lockwood; grandchildren, Skyler and Shari McGinnis, Michal and Ashley McGinnis, Alicia and Jeimeson Saudino, Will McGinnis, Audrey Arnold, Cole McGinnis, and Mary Arnold; great-grandchildren, Kaidance, Liam, Emery, Brecken, Brooks, Brock, Berkeley, Aly, Tehvyn, Eastlynn, and Kinsley.

A reception celebrating Sharit's wonderful life will be from 2:00-4:00pm, Wednesday, August 5th, at the Cozine Life Events Center. The reception will pause at 2:30 for a brief memory and special music from the family. Burial will be at 11:00am, Thursday, August 6th at St. Paul Evangelical Church Cemetery in Bluff City, Kansas.

In lieu of flowers, memorials should be made to Victory In The Valley, 3755 E. Douglas Ave., Wichita, KS 67218, in memory of Sharit's daughter, Darla Arnold.
