Thomas, Shirley Jean, 74, died February 1, 2017 in Wichita from pulmonary complications. Shirley was born in Wichita July 22, 1942 to Cecil and Mina Clark. She is survived by son, Jeff Saxton, of Newton; daughter, Camille (Francis) Dreiling, of Salina; step-daughter, Valerie (Danny) Gossett, of Udall; brothers, Gary Clark and Larry (Terri) Clark, of Wichita; 15 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by daughter, Michelle Schroeder; step-son, Troy Thomas; and husband, Don Thomas. Shirley Jean attended Park Elementary, Horace Mann, North High School, and worked for Digital Equipment Corporation. She enjoyed sewing and quilting, and was a recent resident of the Asbury Park Community in Newton. A celebration of life will be 10 a.m., Saturday, March 11, 2017, at Bentley United Methodist Church in Bentley, Kansas.
