Steven Martin Stadel Blick

Steven Martin Stadel Blick, born on July 15, 1986, in Wichita, Kansas, passed away in his hometown on August 7, 2026. A devoted son, brother, and father, Steve will be remembered for his gentle spirit, technical aptitude, and gratitude toward those around him.

Steve’s early passion for technology led him to obtain an associate’s degree in computer technology. His skills and dedication saw him thrive as an I.T. Specialist, where he was recognized for both his expertise and his patient, personable approach to clients, especially those less comfortable with rapidly changing technologies. Notably, Steve later founded his own computer business, Computer Concepts, which he successfully operated for more than 15 years. The business became known in Wichita for its commitment to both hardware and software repair solutions. His ability to solve technical challenges was matched only by his genuine interest in helping people, and he took great pride in assisting those in need of his talents.

Throughout his life, Steve was guided by kindness and respect for others. He forged meaningful connections with all who crossed his path, never hesitating to acknowledge the support and kindness extended to him. Steve’s conversational nature, calm demeanor, and playful sense of humor made him a welcome presence in every gathering, whether social or professional.

Steve cherished time spent outside the realm of technology as well. He was happiest at the grill, around the pool table, or surrounded by family. An enthusiastic and inventive cook, Steve loved experimenting in the kitchen and creating impromptu recipes for family gatherings, and he especially delighted in making salsa. Fluent in Spanish, he enjoyed engaging with people from diverse backgrounds, further enriching his life with cultural understanding and empathy. Steve also had a deep affection for his dogs, including his beloved Keiko, who was a loyal companion.

Steve deeply appreciated life’s simple pleasures and met life’s challenges with a quiet, stubborn resilience. In recent months, that resilience was accompanied by a renewed connection to his faith and a deeper sense of purpose and reflection.

His legacy lives on through those who survive him: his father, Dennis Blick, and his mother, Deborah Blick; his sister and brother-in-law, Jacquelyn and Jose Arredondo; his brother, Andrew Blick; his beloved daughter, Isabella Goudreau; and his birth sisters, Chelsea Neff and Hannah Elder. He is also survived by his nephews and niece, Rafael, Gabriel, and Michaela Arredondo. Steve’s family remembers him with love and gratitude, honoring a life lived with sincerity and purpose.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Melvin and Shirley Stadel, and Oscar and Lucille Blick, whose guidance and example remained important to him.
