Tami Harris

Tami Ruth Harris of Wichita, KS passed away on Thursday September 18, 2025 at the age of 68 after a valiant battle with breast cancer. Tami is survived by her daughter Dylan Brown (Zachary), son Jeht Harris (Nguyen), stepson Joshua Curry (Joy), brothers David (Pat) and Paul Anders, and was known as “Grammy Tami” to grandchildren Lyra, Tori, Autumn, and Greg. She is also survived by her beloved mini-horses Kneehigh and Rabbit. Tami was preceded in death by her husband Jeff Harris and her parents Jim and Carmen Anders.

After Tami retired from the City of Wichita water utility office, she opened her dream “Horse Around Ranch” where she enjoyed nothing more than showcasing the talents of Kneehigh and Rabbit at parades, parties, and other special occasions. Her love of horses connected her to many, many friends across the area with their shared equestrian enthusiasm. She also enjoyed visiting craft fairs, playing rousing games of Bunco, and rooting for the Kansas City Chiefs with her friend Deb. She loved animals and worked with many different animal rescue organizations to help give lost animals a loving home.
