Velma Mae Compton, 91, passed away October 10, 2026 in Wichita, KS. Velma was born December 4, 1934 in Anthony, KS to the late Virgil and Ollie Jones. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Compton and brother, Glen Compton. Survivors include her sons, Steven Compton and Marty and his wife, Marta Compton. She also leaves behind her grandchildren Martin, Sean, Brooklyn, Kalyn, Chloe and great-granddaughter, Jaaxlyn.
Visitation will be 6-8:00pm, Thursday, October 15, 2026 at Broadway Mortuary. Funeral service 1:00pm, Friday, October 16, 2026 at Haysville First Christian Church, Haysville, KS. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
