Wanda Yinger

Wanda Lorene Yinger, 98 yrs., devoted wife, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and cherished friend to many, passed away on Saturday, April 15, 2023 in Larksfield Place (Wichita, KS). Wanda grew up in Kechi, Kansas and graduated from Wichita State University. She was active in her community and volunteered at church throughout her life, as well as serving with the Crisis Pregnancy Center, Meals on Wheels, World Impact, and was a member of Homemakers and PEO. Her lifelong Christian faith was the foundation of her loving, kind and caring nature. She loved to garden, cook and create a beautiful home for family and friends to enjoy. She traveled often to visit her two children, Kent (and Debi) Yinger and Jane (and Lyle) Schrag and grandchildren. Visits included seeing Kent and family in Germany and Jane and family in Canada. She is survived by son, Kent (and Deborah) Yinger (Portland, OR); daughter, Jane (and Lyle) Schrag (Blaine, WA); six grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 63 yrs., Jack Yinger; parents, Harry and Anna Vogt; and brother, Warren (and Ilda Lea) Vogt.  Burial will take place at Old Mission Cemetery on Saturday, April 22, 2023 at 10:00 AM, and a memorial service will be held also on Saturday, April 22, 2023 at 2:30 PM, First Evangelical Free Church (Wichita).
