Wayne Brock, a beloved member of the Wichita community, passed away on November 25, 2023. Known for his long and fulfilling life, Wayne left behind a legacy of love, hard work, and generosity. Born on October 30, 1933, to Roy and Mary Mable Brock in Carrollton, Missouri, Wayne lived a life filled with dedication to his family, service to his country, and success in his career.

Wayne began his career in car sales and spent most of his life working diligently in this field. His dedication and exceptional skills eventually led him to break numerous sales records at his dealership. But Wayne didn't stop there - he ventured into entrepreneurship by starting two independently owned businesses. The first was an advertising company that allowed him to showcase his creativity and innovative thinking. The second was Connie's Funnel Cakes, a concession business that became a staple at the Kansas State Fair for over four decades. Wayne's grandchildren have taken up the reins of this successful venture, carrying on the family legacy.

While Wayne was undoubtedly accomplished professionally, it was his unwavering love for his family that truly defined him. He was always surrounded by grandchildren and great-grandchildren who found solace in his comforting presence. Wayne had an unparalleled ability to shower them with affection and spoil them with love whenever they were within arm's reach. He cherished every moment spent with them and often had them gathered around him. His devotion to both teaching and guiding them through life was unwavering.

Throughout his life, Wayne exhibited traits of unyielding kindness and selflessness. He possessed a joyful spirit and approached each day with a smile on his face. His humble nature, coupled with an impeccable work ethic, made him someone everyone admired. Regardless of the circumstances or challenges he faced, Wayne consistently found solace in prayer while diligently addressing the needs of both family and friends.

Wayne's life was not only centered around his family but also encompassed a wide array of hobbies and interests. He always enjoyed travel, allowing him to explore various parts of the world and indulge in different cultures. He had a deep passion for classic cars, finding joy in their timeless elegance and beauty. Wayne's love for music and dance was evident as he would often be seen twirling around the dance floor with his beloved wife, Connie.

Aside from his extraordinary personal pursuits, Wayne contributed significantly to his community through his involvement with New Spring Church. As a dedicated Trustee for 35 years, he demonstrated unwavering commitment to his faith and played an instrumental role in the growth and development of the church.

Prior to embarking on his successful career, Wayne served in the United States Air Force from 1953 to 1957 during the Korean War. Stationed in Germany, he worked in Security specializing in Morse Code operations. His service to his country showcased his bravery and commitment to protecting the ideals he held dear.

Wayne Brock is survived by his loving wife, Connie Brock, who stood by his side through thick and thin, He is also survived by his children and their spouses: Tonya Snodgrass, Rick and Debra Brock, and Debbie and Donald Ivy. Wayne's impact extended beyond immediate family; he leaves behind a legacy cherished by seven grandsons: David Kavanagh (Jacqline), Bradley Dick (Amber), Brian Kavanagh, Travis Snodgrass (Sullie), Colton Brock (Kateland), Shawn Snodgrass (Emma), Casper Douglas (Samantha); four granddaughters: Tracye Hillman, Shaina Pearce (Chad), Evie Thompson (Matthew), and Lacey Burns (Justin); as well as 29  great -grandchildren, 1 great-great grandson and niece Teresa ( Randy) Scantlin who  really considered him more as a father.   In addition to his family, Wayne also held dear the memories of his late father, Roy Brock, and his late mother, Mary Mable Brock, his sister Coleen Grant, brother Trenneth Brock, niece Sandra Fullerton Thornton, and nephew Gary Potts.  Also, preceding in death was his great- granddaughter Hannah Baxter.

The visitation honoring Wayne's life will be held on Sunday, December 3, 2023, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Cozine Life Events Center. The funeral service will take place on Tuesday, December 5, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. at NewSpring Church.

Wayne Brock was a remarkable individual whose positive impact on the lives of those around him will not be forgotten. As we come together to mourn our loss and celebrate his life, let us remember Wayne for his kindheartedness, humility, and unwavering dedication to his family and church.
